Graduate Assistantships/Employment

Are you interested in managing day-to-day operations of º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø’s Innovation Entente Lab and the students who are part of the NWPA Beehive Innovation Network?

Or would you rather work at the IT Help Desk, honing your skills while providing tech support to staff, administration, faculty, and students?

How about serving as assistant director for CIRAT (º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø’s Center for Intelligence Research Analysis and Training), where you’ll provide direction for the six programs and labs operated by the center?

º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø is a great place to work while you expand your knowledge base and develop career goals. We offer more than 50 Graduate Assistantship (GA) and Graduate Employment (GE) positions. GAs receive a full or partial waiver of tuition and a stipend in return for working a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. GEs earn up to $9,000 annually and are paid bi-weekly throughout the academic year.

GA and GE positions are available across campus, including in academic departments, Athletics, Residence Life, and Student Life.

To be eligible, participants:

  • Must be admitted into a graduate program. Physician Assistant Studies and Athletic Training students are not eligible to participate in the GA program due to their academic programs’ time requirements.
  • Must have a GA/GE application on file with the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions.Ìý
  • Cannot receive additional institutional aid (including athletic scholarships).
  • Cannot have another on-campus job.

The awarding of a GA position is not need-based and is an extremely competitive process. Qualified students not awarded a GA position can be offered a GE opportunity.

GA candidates are selected by an area supervisor and are not assigned by the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions. Both GA and GE positions are considered annual awards of graduate school financial aid. Positions can be eliminated and/or reclassified for the following year. There is no guarantee that participants will be awarded a GA or GE position in their second year.
